New business is a jump up for CrossFit personal trainer

Personal trainer Kimo Kockelman, right, seen here doing tire jumps with Pat Von, is leasing space from Powerhouse Gym on Keawe Street in Kaka'ako to launch his own gym, Hardass Fitness. Kockelman, who began taking memberships two weeks ago, specializes in a high-intensity strength and conditioning program called CrossFit.
